 | 1. | Are pets allowed?
Pet Policy - Well behaved pets are welcome in your own camping unit. Dogs cannot be left unattended in your camping unit or on your site. Dogs can be walked on a short leash. A strong chain or rope is required that will not allow the pet to extend off the site in any direction if tied to your site. All pet/dog droppings must be picked up by the owner. No more that 2 dogs per site allowed. Visitors of registered guests are not permitted to bring pets. No pets allowed in the Rental Units, Rec hall, Restaurant, Playground, Swimming or Beach areas, or in any buildings |
| 2. | How far is it to the Lake George Village?
Lake George Village is a 10 minute car ride, approximately 6 miles. |
| 3. | What time is the last shuttle back from Lake George Village?
The shuttle runs approximately every hour beginning at 9:00AM from early June through the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. The last shuttle back to Lake George Escape Campground leaves Lake George Village at 9:00PM. |
| 4. | Does the Schroon River flow into Lake George?
No. The Schroon River flows into the Hudson River. |
| 5. | Can I put my boat in the Schroon River?
Canoes and Rowboats with small fishing motors of 10 HP or less are allowed. Several marinas on Lake George where jet skis & boats with larger motors can be launched. Our boat launch is a car top hand launch. |
| 6. | Can you build a fire? Do you sell firewood?
Camp Fires are allowed. All Campsites and Rental sites have a fire ring, and firewood may be purchased in our General Store. |
| 7. | What are the Check-In / Check-Out times?
Campsites - Check-in: after 1:00PM; Check-Out before 11:00AM.
RV and Log Cabin Rentals - Check-in: after 2:00PM; Check-Out before 11:00AM. |
| 8. | Tent Policy and Information.
We have 148 tenting sites.
Tent Sites: Only 1 tent included per site in the site fee, maximum 8 people total on a site with no more than 4 adults and minor children. Second tent on same site - $10 per night.
RV Sites: Max 8 people per site. Small tent on the same site - $10 per night.
Tents are available for purchase in our General Store. |
| 9. | Are tents allowed on Rental Unit sites?
No. |
| 10. | How close is the nearest grocery store?
Many necessary items such as milk, bread, beer, juice, marshmallows, snacks & candy, etc are available for purchase in our General Store. A full supermarket is only a 3 mile drive into Warrensburg. |
| 11. | Do you have a "quiet time"?
Quiet Time is Sunday – Thursday 10:00PM – 8:00AM and Friday – Saturday and Holidays 11:00PM – 8:00AM. |
| 12. | How late can I check in?
Registration office closes at 10:00PM on Saturday through Thursday and 11:00PM on Friday, July 4th through Labor Day.
After 11:00PM, late check-ins for Tents & Popups will be assigned to a temporary holding area until the following morning, where you will register in the store for your permanent site assignment. |
| 13. | Do you allow bikes?
Yes, we do allow bikes. In accordance with NY State law, all children 14 and under are required to wear a helmet. No bike riding after dark. |
| 14. | What if I need to cancel my reservation?
CAMPSITES and RENTAL UNITS - Refunds are issued if written notice is received at least 14 days prior to arrival date and is subject to a $30 per site/rental cancellation fee. Cancellations received without the required notice will result in forfeiture of deposit. Camping is an outdoor experience. As such, we do not give refunds due to the discomfort of nature or for early departures. NO exceptions.

Yes! Lake George Escape offers WiFi Wireless Internet High Speed access in select areas of the resort. |
