We are open at the Kansas City West/Lawrence KOA for all types of camping--RV, tents or cabins.

Twenty miles away, the Kansas City metro area has much to offer, including Kansas Speedway, Legends Outlets, baseball and a national soccer league. Stop by the on-site cafe for Hunt Brothers Pizza and Wings. In-season fun includes a mini zip line for kids 100 lbs and under only, gem mining, two playgrounds, and a swimming pool with a newly expanded covered deck and a splash pad, plus outdoor games. Rail enthusiasts will appreciate the rumbles and whistles of the passing trains (about a mile away).

Kansas City is a place where sports are woven into everyday life. Soccer is a shared global language, shaped by tradition and creativity. The Largest Soccer Fan Festival event will be hosted on the grounds of the National World War I Museum and Memorial. This is on the South lawn, Free admission to the public. The Festival will run for 18 days, scheduled for June and July 2026. Food, local music and interactive activities. Come stay with us in one of our Cabins, the Big House, or RV and Tent spots at the KOA Campground in Lawrence, Kansas, where you can jump on I-70 E/Kansas Turnpike and be there in 30 minutes. Enjoy the evenings around a campfire after a day of exploring all that Kansas City has to offer during this great event. Hope to see you soon!

Camping at Lawrence Ks/KOA for Fourth of July sounds like an incredible way to celebrate America's 250th birthday! Imagine spending the Holiday surrounded by friends and family, enjoying the great outdoors and all the amenities the campground has to offer. Take a dip in the swimming pool or play at the splash pad with the little ones to cool off. Then Barb-a-cue using that favorite recipe to enjoy with the Family. The Employee's will be voting on the "BEST DECORATED" site for a prize at the end of the day on America's Birthday, July 4th. Enjoy the Summer Fest at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2120 Harper St. 3PM TO 10PM. They have Live music, Kids zone, Food Trucks and a Drone Show. If you need to cancel your reservation, please call the campground before the deadlines below to receive a refund of your deposit, less a $20 administrative cancellation fee. Text and email notifications of cancellations will not be accepted.Cancellation Deadlines:• RV & Tent Sites: You must give 7 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., seven days before your scheduled arrival.• Lodging & Accommodations: You must give 14 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., fourteen days before your scheduled arrival. Cancellation Details:• Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits.• Cancellations made after the deadlines will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.• No refunds are given due to the discomforts of nature, including no-shows and early checkouts.• No refunds are given on or after the arrival date.• Refunds will be processed using the original credit/debit card.• The cancellation policy may be amended during a Regional/National travel disruption.• Holidays and special events may have unique deposit and/or cancellation requirements.Holidays & Special Event- Total camping fee is due at time of reservation.
