This award-winning KOA offers a quiet, shaded country setting just 15 minutes from the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Connect with the city's cowboy legacy at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum or Stockyards City. Take a water taxi ride in Bricktown, pay your respects at the Oklahoma City National Memorial, catch a Thunder basketball game, stop at Bass Pro Shops or visit the city's other exciting museums, shops and sporting events. Or just relax at the campground. Enjoy the scavenger hunt, ride the barrel train (weekends in season), roast marshmallows, let your pet run in the KampK9 park or stroll the 1-mile nature trail. Watch the Shawnee skyline transform into a mix of bright, brilliant colors as hot air balloons launch from the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Powwow Grounds. Embark on a scenic balloon ride in one of twenty balloons on-site during the FireLake Fire Flight Balloon Festival. This two-day festival also features picturesque balloon glows. Kids can also challenge their friends to a round of mini-golf, while adults can scope out the food trucks to refuel while shopping from various craft vendors. Learn more about the great outdoors at the Outdoor Nation Expo inside the FireLake Arena. Between the live entertainment, vibrant balloons and great food options, guests are sure to have a blast at this community hot air balloon event.

The Red Earth Festival features more than 1,000 American Indian artists and dancers from throughout North America celebrating the richness and diversity of their heritage with the world. This exciting event features representatives from over 100 tribes. Over the years, Red Earth has matured into one of the most respected visual and performing arts events of its type, setting the standard for many of today's Indian art shows. See works by some of the nation's most celebrated artists, including contemporary and traditional examples of beadwork, basketry, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, paintings, graphics and cultural attire during the festival's juried art show and market. The dance competition at Red Earth is one of the rare occasions when dancers from America's Northern and Southern tribes gather together in one venue. Watch the elite of Native American dance, each in their own distinctive tribal dress, exhibit their originality and skills in one of the most prestigious native dance competitions in the country.
